Join Our Client's Team as a Management Accountant
Position: Management Accountant
Location: On-site, remote location (own transport required).
Salary: Up to £45,000 per year (dependent on qualifications and experience).
Shift: Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:00 (1 day per week remote work considered)
About Our Client:
Our client is a dynamic and growing company seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join their Finance Team. This role is a key addition, supporting the Head of Financial Accounting in reporting on the trading performance of the business, covering margin and manufacturing variance analysis, and departmental overhead spending. The successful candidate will work closely with budget holders to ensure accurate and timely reporting across all business areas.
Key Duties:

Assist the Head of Financial Accounting with the accurate reporting of business trading performance on a monthly and weekly basis, including sales and profitability analysis by customer and market segment, factory overhead variances, and departmental overhead costs.

Prepare financial performance analyses for Directors and the Senior Team's use.

Analyze stock movements, voids, wastage, and yield variances.

Regularly update departmental financial overhead forecasts and final actuals each month.

Develop new business reports, KPIs, and dashboards as part of the rollout of the company’s new ERP system.

Prepare weekly management accounts and KPI reporting.

Update monthly management accounts with new forecasts.

Conduct meetings with department heads to review actual vs. budget figures.

Maintain key data in the company’s ERP system.

Prepare the month-end reconciliation file, including maintaining the fixed asset register, controlling account reconciliations, and resolving any discrepancies.

Assist with weekly payroll processing, including posting payroll analysis journals and manufacturing labor recharge adjustments.

Reconcile the invoice discounting finance facility.

Perform daily bank reconciliations across all accounts.
Requirements:

Experience posting, analyzing, and reporting financial information.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to liaise with various business departments effectively.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn and master new systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookups.
