Position: Offshore Wind Engineer
Location: Yorkshire and the Humber
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
About the Role
We are delighted to represent our client, a leading provider of renewable energy solutions specialising in offshore wind projects across the UK and Europe. They are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Offshore Wind Engineer to join their growing offshore engineering team. Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of offshore wind projects, including foundations, turbines, cables, and substations.

Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical due diligence for new offshore wind developments.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including project managers, environmental consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Prepare and review engineering reports, technical specifications, risk assessments, and tender documents.

Support the development of installation methodologies, logistics planning, and commissioning activities.

Ensure compliance with all relevant UK and international standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

Participate in offshore surveys, inspections, and site visits as required.
Key Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Marine Engineering or a related discipline.

2+ years' experience in offshore wind, marine, or offshore energy projects.

Solid understanding of offshore structures, wind turbine technology, and marine operations.

Experience with relevant engineering software and modelling tools (e.g. OrcaFlex, WindFarmer, GH Bladed, ANSYS).

Strong knowledge of UK offshore wind regulations and consenting processes.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Willingness to travel offshore and occasionally work at sea.

GWO certification (preferred but not essential).
