Join Our Client's Team as a Resort Ambassador – Community & Visitor Engagement
Position: Resort Ambassador
Location: Cleethorpes
Salary: £13.47 per hour
Shift: Fridays and Saturdays each week, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
Additional Cover: Holiday cover required from 13th to 19th July and 14th to 21st September 2025
Contract: Temporary (until 30th September 2025)
Start Date: Immediate Starts Available (Maternity leave cover starting 30th June)
About the Role
We are excited to represent our client, a forward-thinking local authority committed to delivering excellent community and visitor services. They are urgently seeking a motivated, approachable, and service-focused individual to join their Cleethorpes resort team to cover upcoming maternity leave.
This is a dynamic, visitor-facing role, ideal for candidates passionate about providing excellent customer service and promoting safe, enjoyable use of the resort’s beaches, open spaces, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities

Provide up-to-date information to residents, visitors, and businesses via web, email, social media, phone, and face-to-face contact

Encourage safe and positive use of Cleethorpes' beaches and public spaces

Promote local events, activities, and services through various channels including social media and printed materials

Gather feedback from residents and visitors to help improve services and experiences

Build and maintain relationships with businesses, partners, residents, and stakeholders

Maintain resort-related social media platforms, promoting self-service information access

Proactively engage with visitors, including meet-and-greet services for coach parties

Collect payments for council-managed activities such as fishing permits, slipway use, and wheelchair hire

Support administrative processes linked to corporate systems
Key Requirements

Proven ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing

Experience in providing information, advice, and appropriate signposting across multiple channels

Effective use of ICT including MS Office, internet, databases, and social media

Ability to apply rules, procedures, and techniques to deliver excellent customer service

Knowledge of data protection, confidentiality, and equality principles

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse groups

Flexible approach, including willingness to work weekends and outside standard hours

English and Maths skills to Level 2, or equivalent experience

Level 2 Information, Advice & Guidance or Customer Service qualification, or equivalent skills and knowledge

This is an urgent requirement to cover maternity leave starting on the 30th of June, with work every Friday and Saturday until the 30th of September 2025, plus additional holiday cover as detailed.
