Position: Stock & Logistics Manager
Location: Grimsby
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
About the Role

They are now seeking a highly skilled Stock & Logistics Manager to lead and optimise their logistics, stock control, warehousing, and customer service functions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven leader with extensive experience in stock management and logistics, particularly within FMCG or retail environments, to contribute to operational excellence within a fast-paced, growing business.
Key Responsibilities

Strategically plan and manage logistics, transportation, warehousing, and customer experience functions

Develop strong internal and external stakeholder relationships

Drive business plans and strategies to deliver growth and contractual targets

Analyse performance data, identify logistical issues, and implement improvements

Lead the delivery of budgeted P&L through effective asset utilisation

Implement and manage robust PI (profitability index) and stock count strategies to ensure stock integrity meets targets.

Forecast intake, deliveries, KPIs, safety compliance, and customer service standards

Maintain accurate inventory records and address stock performance challenges proactively

Produce detailed monthly stock reports highlighting discrepancies and corrective actions

Adapt to seasonal peaks in demand, ensuring stock availability to meet customer expectations

Champion continuous improvement, enhancing processes, systems, and stock control models

Coach and develop your team to drive stock accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction

Foster a collaborative team environment focused on engagement and performance

Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety policies at all times
Key Requirements

Proven stock control experience in large warehouse environments within FMCG or retail

Extensive expertise in setting and managing PI & stock count strategies to optimise stock integrity and costs.

Track record of successfully implementing process changes with in a fast-paced operations

Strong leadership, coaching, and change management capabilities

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively

Confident communicator with the ability to engage teams and stakeholders

Flexible approach to working in a dynamic, high-demand environment

Proficient in IFS systems or similar inventory management platforms
